“Grow your blog” blog hop

Welcome to everyone stopping in from the Grow your blog blog hop! (If you’ve already been hanging around here with me a while feel free to skip this one. But if you’re a relatively new reader you might find something new!)

I know you’re visiting a million blogs so I’m going to try to make this easy on you. Here are the top 4 things that come to mind when I think about what’s been going on here lately:

  • Your 1st quilt series – if you’ve never made a quilt before, this series is especially for you! I take you through all the basics you’ll need to make your very first quilt.

  • Sewing room – I shared my new sewing space here:

There’s still plenty of time to join in!

  • 2013 year in review link party – click here to see all the quilts I made in 2013, as well as links to 42 other bloggers’ year in review posts.

As a little “get to know you” gift, I’ll be giving away a specially selected fabric bundle. Just leave a comment telling me what color you want. You don’t have to be a follower to enter, but followers (new & old) do get an extra entry. And if you really love giveaways be sure to come back Sunday morning for another! I’ll leave the giveaway open until Wednesday at noon.

I’m glad you stopped here and I hope you come again soon. Happy hopping!

  1. I love your blog. Your quilts are beautiful. Your sewing area is amazing. I desperately need to get organized. Seeing your area makes me want to do that task. Thank you for the terrific giveaway. I would be thrilled to have any color. Probably the colors that I need the most are yellow and purple. However, I will be thrilled with anything. You are very generous with your giveaway. I am thrilled to find your blog and can hardly wait to see more posts. I really adore the airplane pillow. Thanks for blogging and being an inspiration.

  2. Gray is not my favorite color, but I’m planning to make a gray quilt for my niece – so it would be fun to win some gray fabrics. Thanks.

  3. Blues, Greens and Purples are the colors I am currently most limited in. Purples because I can never find any good ones (and never really use them) and blues/greens because I use them ALL THE TIME. Must be because I have two boys. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

  4. LOOOOOVE your Sewing Space!!! AWESOME!!
Would love to make a nice Quilt for our oldest Son….loves browns & blues…so either color is super to win! Thanks so much! 🙂

  5. Wow, that’s awesome that you have the first quilt series. I have not ever made a quilt and have been wanting to start but kinda confused how. Glad to have found your blog!

  6. I’m glad I found your blog. I’m planning to make my first quilt soon. I’m at the fabric gathering stage. I’ll be sure to look through your 1st quilt series. I’m on the look out for something to compliment the padstow range from cabbages and roses for moda, specifically the purples and blues.

  7. Your studio space is so clean and fresh!
I love geometrics and I am collecting greens right now too – Kelly and yellow greens,
And I love baby novelties, brights, red&whites…
I am pretty easy to please@!!

  8. I am working on a purple and blue quilt for my SIL. It was the last I had of those colors, so I would love some purple and/or blue fabric.

Say something! I love comments.
